The Impact Story

In 1993, after a number of years in Youth Ministry and the adventure of planting a church in York, PA, Pastor Tracy Hamilton felt God calling him back home to the Upstate of South Carolina. The call he felt was to establish a church that wasn’t so entrenched in many of the traditions of the ‘bible belt’ but was grounded in solid Biblical teaching and encouraged a genuine relationship with God, through the Holy Spirit. Originally meeting as Tri-County Worship Center, the small group of family and friends gathered in a hotel conference room where God began to move and grow His church. Soon, with the help of God and some amazing stories of faith and provision, the church was able to move into their first building in 2001, where God continued to move and bring in hundreds of people to be loved, served, and pastored by Pastor Tracy and his team through the years.

In 2021, in the wake of Covid and the loss of his first wife Shannon, Pastor Tracy and the Elders of the church again felt a call from God. The call was simple – it’s a new season! Just as Abram became Abrahamand Saul became Paul, a name change was in order for the church as well as we entered into this new season. And so, Impact Church was born!

Still anchored in God’s original vision for the church, Impact Church exists to help people to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make an impact in the world around them. We believe that each person has a God-given set of gifts, talents, and personality that make them uniquely designed to accomplish the God-ordained mission for their life. Our desire is to introduce people to a loving God and walk alongside them as they grow in relationship with the Father and discover their purpose.
